Legend Pride Week - 2025
Legend Pride Week is less than two weeks away, and we are so excited to continue this fun tradition of spirit-building activities as we head into OMPA! The week of Monday, July 28 – Sunday, August 3 is packed with special events to get our swimmers hyped and our families engaged.
This year, we want to make sure that our Legend bleacher section is the LOUDEST at OMPA! We’re thrilled that Summer Riley has volunteered to lead our cheers—but we need YOU, our amazing parents and families, to help keep the energy up! We’re asking for you to step in and help for a couple of hours while at OMPA. The role is super simple—we’ll teach you a few easy cheers, and your job will be to help get our section going. *We have had to raise the cost of tickets on the LPN and Post-OMPA dinner to $16/pp due to increased expenses for these events. We will honor the $10/pp price for anyone who registered for these events before 7/19. We appreciate your understanding.
REMINDER - Practice Schedule for the Week of July 28
Monday July 28-Wednesday July 30 (OMPA week): Regular AM Swim Team workouts will run for 6 and under through 15-18. Practice concludes Wednesday.
This is Legend Spirit and rest/taper week. Normal swim workouts will taper off and the focus will be on dives/turns and the little details. Outside of regular swim workouts, OMPA swimmers need to rest, stay out of the sun, and minimize participation in pool activities in favor of indoor, quiet restful activities. Let the body rest, the mind relax, and get ready to explode at OMPA!

Monday July 28- Popsicle Party 10:30 AM -1:30 PM
Join us for a popsicle and get your picture taken with the Legend Dragon!
Tuesday, July 29 - Movie Day at the Orinda Theater 2:45 PM - 5:15 PM
Registration is Required to Attend - Last Day to commit is Friday July 25.
The movie is How to Train a Dragon, preceded by our legendary Sleepy Hollow Swim Team movie. This is a fun event that’s not to be missed!
Parents need to drop off their child/children at the Orinda Theater (4 Orinda Theater Square) at 2:45 PM and pick up at 5:15 PM.
This event is $5 and includes a snack pack (popcorn and water).
Please Note: Swim team members only please. No siblings since we have a limited seating capacity. Coaches and volunteers will be present to supervise swimmers.
Wednesday, July 30 - Legend Pride Car Decorating 8:30 AM - 12 PM
We’ll supply pens, car-friendly paint and helpers to make sure you show off your Legend pride!
Wednesday, July 30 - Legend Pride Night 5:15 - 8 PM
Join us poolside for dinner and Legend traditions, including our coaches' pep talk to get our swimmers ready for the OMPA Championships!
- 5:30 to 6:30pm - Dinner catered by 1333
- 6:30pm - Legend Pride Night Skits
- 7:30pm - Coaches Pep Talk
Water, lemonade and adult beverages will be available. Please register by 7/25. We will not be able to accommodate walk in registrations this year. $16/per person. No need to register children 2 and under; they're free.
Friday August 1- Airbrush Tattoos
Get fired up with a professional Legendary airbrush tattoo! Spots are limited! You’ll be charged $10 on your account.
Saturday, August 2- Caravan from Sleepy Hollow
Spirit Caravan from Sleepy Hollow. Arrive by 6:55 AM.. Caravan departs at 7:10 AM SHARP from SHTSC to OMPA. This is a fantastic legend tradition you don’t want to miss!
*If you are skipping the caravan, please be there by 7:45 AM for warm ups.
Sunday, August 3 - Post OMPA Dinner 6pm - 9:30pm
Please join us back at Sleepy Hollow on Sunday evening following OMPA for our celebratory dinner. Inspirational words from the coaches and a wrap-up after the big championship will top off the most exciting weekend of the season.
Swimmers, parents, and other family members will be charged $16/per person. No need to register children 2 and under; they're free.
There is always an abundance of eating, socializing, and celebrating! We will be enjoying burgers (veggie burgers as well), hot dogs, chips and sweet treats! There will be some alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks provided, but feel free to BYOB as a supplement!
Please register by July 26 if you plan to attend.
